Thank you for supporting Bears Care, the charitable arm of the Chicago Bears. Every dollar donated will go directly to supporting programs that make a measurable difference in lives of our neighbors, those that are less fortunate, those that battle cancer or those that need a helping hand to reach their full potential. Since its start in 2005, Bears Care has distributed over $34.7 million dollars to over 200 community organizations assisting those in need in the Chicagoland area.
Take a look at the specific areas in which Bears Care funds are at work in our communities, as told by the organizations we support:
Education
"Your gift helped spread a love of reading and writing to thousands of students from low-income households all across Chicago." -Mara O., SitStayRead!
Underserved Youth and Families
"Bears Care chose to invest in peace and showed up for the Englewood community this year. They came to our Peace House, brought our children to their first football game and are helping renovate a building which will become our Family Resource Center. We have new Bears fans of all ages because our community cares about people who care about them." -Erin V., I Grow Chicago
Breast and Ovarian Cancer Initiatives
"The Crown Point woman had no health insurance and didn't make a ton of money as a preschool special needs instructor. Luckily her daughter-in-law learned about a program that offers free mammograms, courtesy of Bears Care." -Bruce G., The Times of Northwest Indiana
Youth Athletics
"Participating in the football program supported by Bears Care gave our students the physical outlet they needed while dealing with their sometimes very difficult lives. It showed them what it meant to have a role on a team and how achievement is not complete without every single player doing their own individual job. Our students are fully invested in qualifying to play on the teams which leads to higher student attendance, fewer behavior incidents and higher grades." -Shane C., Academy for Urban School Leadership
General
"Thank you to the Bears organization for making football fun in Chicago again. Hope this helps people in need." -Bryan B., Madison WI
