To our UCP Heartland valued donors: We need your help. Individuals with developmental disabilities and the professionals that support them are being impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.
Our Residential Services Program must continue providing 24-hour care and support to maintain safety and overall well-being of clients living in their own home. With the closing of day programs, community-based employment and shelter in place more food, toiletries and other supplies are needed in these homes. Our staff rotation is now being limited to reduce the exposure and potential spread of this virus. Staff is not going home to their family at the end of their shift. The choice to stay with our clients demonstrates their love and undeniable commitment.
If you can, please consider giving a $50 gift to UCPH Emergency Relief Fund to help our Residential Services clients and the professionals that support them.
Imagine being 30 years old and finally getting the opportunity to move into your first apartment. After a few weeks you feel settled, have a part-time job during the day, make new friends and get supportive care. All is good. Then it is not. The uncertainty of the pandemic makes everyone feel uneasy, especially our clients that need to know we will be there for them through anything.
Currently, UCPH has over 56 Residential Services clients that need your help.
Your $50 gift will provide our clients peace of mind during the self-quarantine by providing groceries and household necessities.
While our budget is well structured, we did not prepare a separate fund for emergency relief.
Please consider making a gift to UCPH Emergency Relief Fund today. THANK YOU!
Stay safe and healthy.
